"The amount we accomplish is astonishing and returns such a sense of satisfaction"
Charlotte Lindamais
I finished the script for Lakana Majika (The Magic Pirogue) and will begin translating it tomorrow. Then I’ll be drawing all of the pictures and creating the final draft. I am also planning the lessons for this weekend’s “Kid’s Club.” We found a Weebelo’s Scout Book, so we are going to use some fun activities from that along with teaching math and coral reef lessons. On Tuesday, Sophie, Alice and I are going to do a ‘Circus and Art Festival/Lesson’ with the village kids. The activities will include Poi, juggling, and lots of drawing. This weekend, we are spending the entire of Saturday planting mangrove trees, and I am really excited about my upcoming trek to the rainforest!! Time flies here! I can’t believe I’ve already been here for half of my stay. I am seriously considering returning next summer - The amount we accomplish is astonishing and returns such a sense of satisfaction. I wish I had more time! I am also creating a Kid’s Corner in the museum with world maps, geography drawings, math problems , and lots of basic marine info.
Thank you again!
