Before you join
Joining a conservation expedition does require some planning. ReefDoctor’s Madagascar expedition is in a remote location and you’ll need to plan ahead to make sure that you are properly prepared when you arrive.
Before you join you need to consider getting vaccinations, malaria medication, a diving medical check-up, visas, and medical and dive insurance, as well as ensuring that you complete paperwork for ReefDoctor and plan for any dive courses you wish to take.
Getting organised before you leave home takes time, in particular some vaccinations require a course of injections that can take up to eight weeks, so you need to give yourself plenty of time to ensure that you are ready for your chosen expedition dates.
Our Resource Centre is designed to help you properly prepare and give you advice and information about all the things you need to consider from what clothes to bring and insurance to buy to what forms to fill out.
Even if you haven’t decided to join us yet, visit our Resource centre and take a look at the range of things you need to consider and the planning you’ll need to do. If you start now, you could be with us in six weeks.
