ReefDoctor has been working in Ifaty, Madagascar for over three years now. During that time we have gathered together reports, data and project work. We are now working to as much of this information as we can online to reach a wider audience.

Our goal is to provide an online marine and environmental science resource about the south-western Indian Ocean area, Madagascar and, more specifically, the Toliara region.

This section includes a summary of our current research themes, our reports and published papers, our data and analyses and a selection of background papers that we have found useful when conducting research about the area.

Finally we have included a series of ideas for research projects for all levels of further education. If you are interested in joining us for your own studies, then take a look at this section to find out if our current research programmes include areas of study that might benefit your own work.

We welcome undergraduate and postgraduate students at ReefDoctor as you provide a valuable resource that can help us increase our research effort.

In support of this in 2007 we will be creating a programme whereby we sponsor one postgraduate student a year with the opportunity to spend three months with us in Ifaty to conduct research. Watch our website next year for more information and details about how to apply.

We are still working on the content of this part of the website but your welcome your feedback and ideas. If you have suggestions or comments please let us know what you think.
