Christian
Aquaculture Socioeconomic Officer
Malagasy
Christian joined our aquaculture team at the beginning of 2018. He is originally from Morondava but has been living in Toliara for a while, where he studied Fisheries and Aquaculture at the IH.SM. Before joining Reef Doctor, he worked as socio-organiser with WHH (Welt Hunger Hilfe) for a waste management project and as a pisciculture technician for the tilapia-farming project at IH.SM. He loves sports and especially football, basketball and handball. He thinks fisheries and aquaculture are very interesting, for a social reason as it helps improve the local communities’ lives, and for an environmental reason, as it helps to preserve marine resources. As an aquaculture socio-organiser, he is responsible for structuring and strengthening farmers’ management and organisation capacities.
